Acknowledgment of Country

Wominjeka

Peninsula Grammar is an Australian private, coeducational, Anglican, day and boarding school located on Bunurong Land.

We, the Peninsula Grammar Community, recognise that we stand on the Land of the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation. We respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ spiritual connections and beliefs and acknowledge that this Land has always been a place of teaching and learning. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We commit to working together to deepen our understanding of First Nations cultures in our school, and to walking together respectfully on this Country.

Peninsula Grammar has an ongoing and caring commitment to working in partnership with Indigenous families with the provision of an educational program for First Nation’s students by offering two scholarships per year to First Nation’s students, set in a community of support, encouragement and cultural enrichment. Each scholarship covers tuition, boarding fees and educational materials including uniform, books, laptop and involvement in programs.

Peninsula Grammar staff complete relevant professional learning connected to First Nations’ People including cultural competence training throughout the year, Indigenous guest speakers and culturally relevant First Nations’ experiences.
