As another week comes to an end, I write to thank our community for all they have done in support of our school.
I pay particular homage to the Year 9 community, the parents, the students, and the staff who have managed this past week with empathy, with understanding, and with a commitment to the greater good. The best of our community was on display as they adapted well to reverting to an online context in order to protect themselves and by extension each other. We were excited to welcome many of the cohort back today and look forward to the return of their peers in the coming week.
It is this understanding of togetherness, that brings us to a place of purpose and makes the possibilities of 2022 so exciting. There is an energetic atmosphere on campus, one that is emboldened by a renewed strength, born of all that we have endured.
It is wonderful to listen to the animation in the voices of our young people as they prepare for their Head Start program and the excitement of new beginnings.
It is true that if we go quickly, we go alone. If we want to go far, we go together. And so, we will travel far, and we will do so, safe in the knowledge that our community is steadfast, our people strong and our students safe.
It is my sincere hope as you walk into this weekend, you do so with a calm, that our togetherness has earned us.
