Becoming Me

Year 5 to Year 8

Our Becoming Me program has a strong focus on developing each individual to be a 21st century learner, ensuring the curriculum is centred on the growth and successful development of every child.

Recognising that students of the 21st century need to be prepared, challenged, and inspired, the unique curriculum aims to enhance students’ understanding of self and society intertwined with collaborative projects, real-life experiences, and shared learning journeys.

Academics

The Middle School academic program provides a supportive link between the Junior School and Pre Senior School (Year 9). We recognise that the middle years are a time of exceptional physical, social and emotional growth, and so we tailor our academic program to identify and cater for the unique needs of each of our students.

Through explicit and targeted instruction, our students are engaged in a Middle School education founded on the key knowledge and skills principles underpinning the F-10 Victorian Curriculum, where they will learn to “become lifelong learners, confident individuals, and active and informed citizens” (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, 2024).
