Principal’s Update〡Mother’s Day

To the Mother’s of Peninsula Grammar,

There exists a quiet resolve in every woman, an unseen strength born of unyielding determination. Whether it be in your professional lives or your personal, or both, the strength you possess is unquestionably admirable, and will be an enduring legacy in the lives of your children.

I understand that the year gone by has been a challenge.

You have always made sacrifices, every mother does, yet this past year, you have had to give so much more. You have had to share that unseen strength with your partner, with your children and with your extended family, so as to will them to always see the light, to find the positives when all they could see were problems.

It is my genuine hope that this weekend, you are gifted back some of what you have given this past year, so that you feel renewed for the journey ahead and inspired to continue moving forward.

Perhaps the gift of time, is all you need.

If so, use this time to reflect upon your exceptional achievements and to accept that the path you have travelled has served only to make you more emboldened.

I thank you, each and every one of you, for the contributions you make to our school, and for the sacrifices you make so your children can be part of this community.

I wish you a very Happy Mother’s Day.
