Boarding House Supervisors

 Casual, ongoing position

Peninsula Grammar School (PGS) is a coeducational school of excellence, which fosters the full and balanced development of each child. Peninsula Grammar is seeking to employ Casual Boarding House Supervisors to support the work of the existing staff in our Boys & Girls Boarding House. This appointment is to commence as soon as possible

The role involves supervising and assisting students at meal times, during recreational activities and importantly during their scheduled study time.  Applicants must have a genuine desire to work with adolescents (largely international students) who are living away from home, be committed to developing positive relationships with the boarders and being a supportive presence in the Boarding House. The work may involve both weekday and weekend shifts and in some cases may involve overnight supervision. Experience in residential care would be an advantage but is not essential.

School Nurse

Permanent, part-time ongoing position

Peninsula Grammar School (PGS) is a coeducational school which fosters the full and balanced development of each child. In caring for students and their learning, we encourage them to take up life’s challenges both at the School and beyond. The School values the inherent uniqueness of every individual and fosters the pursuit of excellence in each child. 

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced Registered Nurses for this part-time, ongoing position (casual positions are also available). The role is primarily responsible for providing student care and treatment in a school setting.

We are seeking candidates who have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in a similar role and possess:

  • practical skills and qualifications in providing first-aid and emergency care to students
  • the ability to deal with high pressured situations and act with integrity always
  • experience leading professional development for teaching and ancillary staff
  • the ability to do some afterhours work as required
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • IT/Computer skills together with strong administration skills
  • the ability to contribute to a warm and welcoming environment for all stakeholder groups and to work as part of a schoolwide professional team
  • strong attention to detail and the ability to work with discretion regarding highly confidential matters
  • a current accreditation as a Registered Nurse in Australia (certified by AHPRA)
  • a current Victorian Working with Children Check
  • a current drivers license
