2020 Teaching Roles

Teachers with specialisation in the following subject areas are encouraged to apply:

  • VCE English / English Literature Teacher

Demonstrating a passion for the subject and informed approaches to the teaching of English, the successful applicant will have a breadth of experience within the English classroom.  VCE experience is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be a contemporary educator, whom uses research to inform their practice, is a collaborator and leader within the field of English teaching and is a professional who commits to refining their practice through targeted professional development. 

  • Maths Teacher

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience teaching in the secondary years.  Experience teaching Methods and Specialist Maths would be advantageous.

  • Physics Teacher

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience teaching Physics in the secondary years.  Senior Physics experience is essential for this role.

  • Middle Years Teacher (Years 5 – 8)

The successful applicant will have a breadth and depth of experience teaching across the Middle Years.

The successful candidates will be required to abide by the core values that drive the professional practice of all educators within the School. Contribution to our extensive co-curricular program is expected as is a commitment to our Positive Education initiative.

Junior Primary Specialist

Long Service Leave Replacement Position - Term 4 2019

Peninsula Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Teacher. The successful applicant must have the capacity to build effective relationships with students, staff and parents to enhance student wellbeing and outcomes.

The successful applicant will:

  • be an exemplary and innovative classroom practitioner who takes a creative approach to their teaching and demonstrates passion for their subject area
  • be experienced in curriculum development and design
  • enjoy working as part of a collaborative teaching team
  • have the ability to quickly build trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • use contemporary pedagogies in their classroom practice and be able to demonstrate the impact of these on student learning
    demonstrate a reflective approach to their own practice and a proactive interest in their professional growth as a teacher.

In addition to the criteria outlined above, the successful applicant will:

  • be an innovative and creative educator who embraces and practices targeted teaching
  • be a leader in the use of technology for learning within the Primary setting.

First Boys Tennis Coach – Summer Season

Peninsula Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic First Boys Tennis Coach. The successful applicant must plan and implement a structured program for the sport that provides participation opportunities for all students.  The season will commence on Friday 30 August 2019 and conclude on Friday 27 March 2020.

The successful applicant will:

  • develop and implement weekly session plans – 2 sessions per week
  • build a team environment
  • oversee team selection and development
  • manage and guide the team on match day
  • communicate weekly with the Director of Tennis and Director of Sport on development 
  • present season reports and attendance at Peninsula Grammar’s Sports Awards Evening.

In addition to the criteria outlined above, the successful applicant will:

  • demonstrate a high level of organisation skills
  • demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • have a genuine interest in the School, students and families of our school community.
