FIRST X1 CRICKET COACH

The Position

Sport Coaches require a strong practical knowledge of their respective sport, an understanding of its rules and regulation within the AGSV context, and experience in coaching youth and /or school programs is highly desirable.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare a program for training Firsts Cricket
  • Coordinate and run training sessions as per training schedule provided by the Director of Sport
  • Attend and coach on a Saturday at both home and away games as per the AGSV fixture
  • Attendance at AGSV representative squad training and matches
  • Coach connectivity actively involving all students and staff within your team
  • Manage the standards and expectations of student’s behaviour within your team
  • Ensure student and staff safety in your team’s use of sporting facilities and equipment
  • Report any equipment or situation that is hazardous or has the potential to affect the health and safety of Peninsula Grammar workplace
  • Comply with purchasing guidelines for health and safety when ordering medical supplies and ensure the appropriate storage and use of these supplies
  • Comply with all Risk and Safety protocols
  • Follow safe working procedures developed for the School

 

Essential Requirements

  • Working With Children Check
  • Relevant Coaching Accreditation

 

Desirable Criteria

  • First Aid accreditation including CPR and Anaphylaxis

 

Tenure

  • Spring / Summer Season 2022-2023
  • Commencing 3 October 2022

Position Summary

We invite applications from passionate and engaging individuals for casual sport coach roles for Netball, AFL, Cross Country and Soccer.

Ideally you will have a minimum of Level 1 coaching accreditation and experience coaching in a school setting preferred but not essential.

Applicants must hold and maintain a current Working With Children Check.
