A new role, unique to the Peninsula Grammar context, the Head of Respectful Relationships is responsible for educating students, parents, and staff in establishing and maintaining healthy relationships that maintain our culture of integrity, respect, and personal excellence. The Head of Respectful Relationships will provide equitable, timely and thorough investigations into student complaints of sexual misconduct, harassment, or discrimination on the basis of sex, gender, disability, race, colour, or national origin. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and oversee multi-faceted training and related programs as they relate to whole school culture and student safety.
The Head of Respectful Relationships will have professional experience in and knowledge of;
- Implementing and monitoring complaints, tracking, investigation and resolution processes and protocols for internal student complaints
- An innate understanding of the legal landscape as it relates to current laws regarding child safety and protection, anti-discrimination and human rights legislation
- Experience working with stakeholders in preventative programs that enhance student voice, develop teacher competency, and increase parent engagement
