A new role, unique to the Peninsula Grammar context, the Head of Respectful Relationships is responsible for educating students, parents, and staff in establishing and maintaining healthy relationships that maintain our culture of integrity, respect, and personal excellence. The Head of Respectful Relationships will provide equitable, timely and thorough investigations into student complaints of sexual misconduct, harassment, or discrimination on the basis of sex, gender, disability, race, colour, or national origin.  The successful candidate will develop, implement, and oversee multi-faceted training and related programs as they relate to whole school culture and student safety.

 

The Head of Respectful Relationships will have professional experience in and knowledge of;

  • Implementing and monitoring complaints, tracking, investigation and resolution processes and protocols for internal student complaints
  • An innate understanding of the legal landscape as it relates to current laws regarding child safety and protection, anti-discrimination and human rights legislation
  • Experience working with stakeholders in preventative programs that enhance student voice, develop teacher competency, and increase parent engagement

Head of Wellbeing

Full-time (Ongoing) – 0.6 Time Release, 0.4 Case Load


Peninsula Grammar School (PGS) is a coeducational school which fosters the full and balanced development of each child. The Head of Wellbeing will play an integral role in leading and enhancing all aspects of whole school wellbeing.  Leading a team of three counsellors, and working in unison with the School Executive, the Head of Wellbeing will work assiduously to provide oversight of exceptional and bespoke wellbeing programs, structures, processes, and teacher training modules within the School.

 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated commitment to achieving excellence in pastoral care, education, and a passion for the development of a holistic wellbeing approach that meets the needs of all students

Collections Coordinator

Part-time (Term Time Only)

Located within our state-of-the-art building ALATUS – the WIT is built around the educational philosophy based on Peninsula Grammar’s unique student body.  The Collections Coordinator will play an integral role in providing our students with the support they need to grow in an exceptional research space.

The role is primarily responsible for the day to day running of the Institute which involves maintaining rosters, bookings, and general liaison with external providers and internal stakeholders.  Charged with the administration and technical responsibilities for circulation duties, stock maintenance and overdue items.

 

The successful applicants will possess:

  • Cataloguing and Processing experience
  • Extensive database knowledge, e.g. National Library of Australia catalogue
  • Knowledge of managing the Collections Catalogue and supporting its use by students
  • Providing assistance to students with basic research methods
  • Knowledge of barcoding, stamping, spine labelling and covering
  • Experience with stocktaking resources in the library
  • Strong IT skills, including maintenance of a variety of online systems
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills, especially in relation to staff, students and parents

Student Information Systems Administrator

Full-time (Term Time Only)

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced Student Information Systems Administrators to provide support to all staff regarding their usage of the School’s database in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.  Reporting directly to the Director of ICT you will work in conjunction with the Schools existing Network Administrator, Digital Learning Administrator and ICT support team.

  • Ensure a customer focus is applied to all dealings with students, staff, and other members of the School community
  • Work as a member of the IT Team to ensure an efficient, professional environment within the Department

French Subject Leader

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced professionals for the role of French Subject Leader.  Reporting directly to the Deputy Principal the French Subject Leader will lead the delivery of education in the French Department across the School. Supporting the strategic direction of Peninsula Grammar through delivery of effective teaching and learning programs, by fostering an inclusive and challenging learning environment and engaging with the School community within and beyond the classroom.

 

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Strong management and coaching experience

School Operations Manager

Full-time (Ongoing)

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of School Operations Manager. This full-time, ongoing position will drive the future of the School through alignment of strategic imperatives with the daily operational functions within the School.

 

With over five years’ experience in a Senior Leadership or similar role, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to;

  • Work with the Heads of School to manage student behavioural expectations and review effectiveness of current practices
  • Effectively manage and support staff who are charged with the co-curricular offering of the School
  • Analyse situations as they relate to the culture and needs of the School
  • Drive innovation across the School, particularly as it relates to the co-curricular program, school assemblies and special events
  • Recognise and develop strengths, acknowledge and improve upon practice’s providing timely and consistent feedback to the Principal regarding whole school co-curricular programs
  • Lead and develop collaborative processes that support ongoing school improvement and a culture of excellence in all areas
  • Promote excellence in teaching and learning and pastoral care across the School
  • Publicly address and communicate with staff, students and parents and other groups as appropriate
  • Keep abreast of key educational developments and in so doing, encourage professional dialogues and development amongst staff at the School
  • Implement and action the School Behavioural Expectations Framework
  • Manage parent expectation and understanding of the co-curricular program
  • Build strong relationships with students, founded on respect for the uniqueness of the School and an understanding of the role played in keeping the high standards expected
  • Mediate, when necessary, with staff, parents and students on matters pertaining to the co-curricular program

The successful candidate will require extensive leadership experience in the education sector, a proven ability to work with all stakeholder groups and the capability to multi-task and manage time effectively to deliver on priorities.

Function Catering Supervisor

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, experienced person to the position of Function Catering Supervisor.

The Function Catering Supervisor is responsible for the customer service provided in the School Pavilion and at other locations around the School as required.

Work attendance outside of ordinary school hours is required where directed to support events, functions and programs (including sports).

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Responsible serving of alcohol, 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Experienced in safe manual handling practices
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholder groups to complete required tasks across varied contexts
  • Confident in working autonomously and in a team setting to produce quality outcomes
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to deliver on priorities
