The school boasts an outstanding Music program from K-12 consisting of classroom Music lessons and a large instrumental and choral program. Currently 400 students learn in the studio program. A full array of choirs, ensembles and orchestras add significantly to our outstanding Performing Arts program. We are committed to offering our students a broad variety of opportunities to perform.

Are you an inspired Violinist or Violist looking for an exciting opportunity to shape an abundant string program ready to be taken to new levels of inspiration and creativity? Our current string program containing 80+ string players from Years 2 to 12 comprises five string ensembles plus a Symphony Orchestra.

We are looking for outstanding candidates who can both mentor and inspire young string players as well as develop our advanced Violinists/Violists into capable young musicians.  Ideally candidates should be active performers with a passion for music education.

Knowledge and experience across AMEB and VCE Music Performance Repertoire is advantageous.

French Teacher

The School values the inherent uniqueness of every individual and fosters the pursuit of excellence in each child.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic French Teacher to commence Term 1, 2022. The successful applicant must have the capacity to build effective relationships with students, staff and parents to enhance student wellbeing and outcomes.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be an exemplary and innovative classroom practitioner who adopts a collaborative approach to their teaching and demonstrates passion for their subject area
  • Be experienced in curriculum design and development
  • Have the ability to quickly build trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • Use contemporary pedagogies in their classroom practice and be able to demonstrate the impact of these on student learning
  • Demonstrate a reflective approach to their own practice and a proactive interest in their professional growth as a teacher

 

In addition to the criteria outlined above, the successful applicant will:

  • Be an innovative and creative educator who embraces and practises targeted teaching
  • Be a leader in the use of technology for learning
