Kindergarten Assistant

4 days/week, Term Time Only


Peninsula Grammar School (PGS) is a coeducational school which fosters the full and balanced development of each child. Peninsula Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced Kindergarten Assistant to provide direct and timely specialist assistance to relevant students in the classroom.  Working co-operatively, under the direction of the Head of Junior School, to provide a supportive, well-organised learning environment in which students are encouraged to achieve to their fullest potential. Undergraduate teachers are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to immerse themselves in an exceptional learning culture.

This term time only position will be 4 days/week for 2021, with the potential to move to 5 days/week for 2022.

 

The successful candidates will have:

  • High school education (VCE or VCAL equivalent)
  • Diploma or Certificate 3 qualification in Children’s Services
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A sound working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law Act and regulations, the National Quality Standards and the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework
  • Commitment to the core values of the School; with an emphasis on integrity and personal excellence
  • A collaborative approach and participate in the broader life of the School
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working with Children Check

Food & Beverage Coordinator / Food Technology Assistant

Full Time (Term Time Only)


Peninsula Grammar School is a coeducational day and boarding school which fosters the full and balanced development of each child. The School values the inherent uniqueness of every individual and fosters the pursuit of excellence in each child.

The Food & Beverage Coordinator / Food Technology Assistant is responsible for assisting the Head of Food Technology with the preparation and delivery of the Food Technology program. This role also includes the coordination to deliver the schools Food Safety Program as well as coordinate the Pavilion and its functions.

 

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Current Food Handlers Certificate (essential)
  • Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate (essential)
  • Strong IT skills including the maintenance of a variety of online systems (Office 365 essential)
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Positive approach to change and development
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
