As a member of the Senior Executive, the Deputy Principal – Staff is responsible for maintaining and enhancing an exceptional teaching and learning culture.  Reporting directly to the Principal the successful candidate will inspire, guide and model excellence in supporting staff to develop a strong and visionary teaching and learning program.  You will possess a broad range of skills and experience that enhance the efficacy, productivity, and purpose of the teacher fraternity.

French Teacher

Full Time / Ongoing

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic French Teacher to commence Term 1, 2022. The successful applicant must have the capacity to build effective relationships with students, staff and parents to enhance student wellbeing and outcomes.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Be an exemplary and innovative classroom practitioner who adopts a collaborative approach to their teaching and demonstrates passion for their subject area
  • Be experienced in curriculum design and development
  • Have the ability to quickly build trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues

Contemporary / Popular Guitar Teacher

Casual / 1 day per week

The school boasts an outstanding Music program from K-12 consisting of classroom Music lessons and a large instrumental and choral program. Currently 400 students learn in the studio program. A full array of choirs, ensembles and orchestras add significantly to our outstanding Performing Arts program. We are committed to offering our students a broad variety of opportunities to perform.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Contemporary / Popular / Rock Guitar teacher to join our Music Department commencing Term 4. The successful candidate will have a dynamic and enthusiastic approach to working with students from Year 4 to Year 12 and must be well versed and competent in popular guitar techniques and technologies, including FX pedal usage, looping proficiency and the ability to teach signal workflow to students. Ability to teach or experience with VCE classical guitar / and jazz styles is advantageous but not essential.

Professional experience in contemporary / session guitar playing is essential. Experience with the VCE, AMEB and/or Trinity examination syllabi is also advantageous.

The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to grow their studio and contribute to the contemporary band culture within the music program.

Accounts Receivable Officer

Full time, Ongoing

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial arrangements between the School and parents to ensure that students enrolments are maintained whilst facilitating optimum cash flow.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Ensure a customer focus is applied to all dealings with students, staff, parents, and other members of the School community
  • Work as a member of the Finance Team to ensure an efficient, professional environment within the Accounts Department
  • Be highly discrete and exercise strict confidentiality
  • Have a high attention to detail
  • Have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaborative working platforms
  • Have previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Synergetic (or similar) would be highly regarded.

School Counsellor

Part Time, 0.655 FTE, Term Time Only

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced Counsellors to provide counselling for a range of mental health, emotional, social and behavioural issues at Peninsula Grammar.

This ongoing position commences Term 4, 2021.

The successful candidate will support the welfare, wellbeing and pastoral care needs of students across the School (Kindergarten to Year 12). This position also offers an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in the further development of pro-active programs and activities that assist to promote positive student wellbeing.

  • Be registered under the professional body for psychologists, social workers or Family Therapists.
