Vocational Experience Coordinator

Who We Are

Position Summary

The Careers Coordinator oversees school programs to prepare students for beyond school and provides guidance and support to students, families and key staff regarding student career planning and related subject selection processes. While predominantly focused upon students in Years 10-12, there is involvement with the Year 9 Pathways for Life program.

We are seeking candidates who have worked in a similar role and possess:

 

  • Postgraduate and/or Certificate IV qualifications in Careers Education
  • Experience in overseeing and coordinating VET and work experience programs
  • Experience with interviewing and assisting students from Years 9-12
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community
  • Demonstrated high quality verbal and written communication with students, staff and parents
  • A genuine interest in supporting students and their families.

 

Tenure

Part time ongoing position, term time only plus 2 additional weeks. Flexibility with hours but must work Wednesday to Friday.

 

Remuneration

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Selection Criteria:

 

  • Knowledge of garden maintenance, especially lawn mowing
  • Full Drivers Licence
  • Capable of manual handling duties up to 20kgs

  • Trade qualification not essential, but highly regarded

Chief Examination Supervisor

Position Summary

We invite applications for the position of VCAA Chief Examination Supervisor to run the End of Year Examinations for VCE students.

The Chief Supervisor will need to be available between September November.  During 2022, there will be a few days of work between September 01October 25, however the role is particularly for the VCAA Examination period October 26 to November 16, 2022.

All supervisors are required to carry out a range of responsibilities, however, there are a number of tasks that the VCAA considers to be the specific responsibility of the Chief Supervisor. The Chief Supervisor carries out these duties working with the VCE Director and Assistant Supervisors to ensure a rigorous examination Schedule is implemented in line with our core values to students to have a calm, positive and supportive experience.

 

Qualifications:

  • Chief Supervisors must have, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Chief Supervisors must complete online training provided by VCAA. This training will be available prior to the September General Achievement Test (GAT)
