Principal’s Update〡Autumn

The falling leaves of the past few weeks have reminded me of the importance of renewal and the power of change.

I warmly welcome you back to Term 2, a short term, but one of wondrous celebration within the School. From our Senior School Production to Saturday Sport, Cadets to Little Giants, this term promises to fill the lives of our young people and our community with opportunity and with hope.

It is weeks like this one, with the celebration of our Mother’s and the coming together of our community that makes us all remember the importance of the rituals and traditions that create the spirit of this school, rituals that have long lay dormant due to the uncontrollable forces of the last two years. I wish every mother within our community a wonderful Mother’s Day and the gift of precious time with those they love.

I often talk to our staff of the power of seasons, that there is a time for everything. I am sure you share the feeling of anticipation with me, that the seasons of the past two years, have not filled us with the promise of brighter months ahead, but we are now full hope, knowing that the days and weeks ahead are full of possibility and extraordinary opportunity.

I look forward to welcoming you all to the many and varied events we will have on campus and in person this term, and I thank you all for the fantastic start we have all shared in.

It is my sincere hope that you let the Autumn months act as a reminder to you, of letting the past go and instead, look forward, with an understanding of the innate beauty that each season holds, and the hope it carries with it.
