Robert has a Master of Education degree from the University of Melbourne where he focused on language policy and planning in education and English in bilingual programs and has had experience teaching at Simonds Catholic College in West Melbourne and Santa Maria College in Northcote. Lionel Towers Instrumental Music Teacher (Music Production) Lionel joins our innovative Music Department in this new role providing one-on-one tuition in Music Production for our students. Lionel is an accomplished recording artist, producer, composer and songwriter with a long list of career achievements including platinum music sales, multiple ARIA nominations, top 10 radio hits in Europe and an international recording deal. He has written songs for many artists including David Guetta, Sia and Danni Minogue and has toured extensively. Patrick Lyons Instrumental Music Teacher (Double Bass and Bass Guitar) Patrick has a Bachelor of Music Performance degree in classical double bass performance from the Sir Zelman Cowan School of Music at Monash University and has extensive performance experience in classical and double bass and bass guitar. Louise Davies Kindergarten Assistant Louise is working with Jacqui Adams in Kinder 3 on Thursday and Fridays and in K4M on Wednesdays. Louise comes to TPS from Korowa where she was teaching in the Kindergarten room. Leah Hart Gap Student – Terms 2 & 4 2016 and Terms 1 & 2 2017 Leah is our ECC/Junior Years GAP student. Leah was a Prefect at Torquay Girls Grammar in Devon, UK. She has played hockey from a young age and in 2014, she was picked to represent Dart Ladies 1st XI and since then has continued to play weekly. Leah is an accomplished violinist and played in both her School Orchestra and String Band. After her GAP year Leah intends to go to university to study geography and pursue a teaching career. Emma Dearden Gap Student - Terms 2 & 4 2016 and Terms 1 & 2 2017 Emma is our Phys. Ed GAP student. Emma was a School Prefect at Dollar Academy in Perthshire, Scotland and in addition to excellent academic results she was also heavily involved in their Charities Committee. Emma is passionate about her sporting interests. She plays hockey and soccer, competes in Athletics (sprints) at a high level but it is in Touch Football that she truly excels. Earlier this year she represented Scotland in the European Championships. Emma would like to be a Physical Education teacher. Farewells Marie Bond Laboratory Technician Marie had been working as a Laboratory Technician in the Science Department for the last few months. Marie provided great assistance to the Science team during the move into the new VCE Science Centre. We wish Marie well for her move to a position with Monash University. Louise Childs Communications and Community Engagement Louise was a much valued member of the Communications and Community Engagement team during Terms 2 and 3. Louise’s expertise with social media and marketing was evident in the increased quality and quantity of our social media posts throughout this time which showcased a wide variety of School events in an engaging way.
