The final reunion for this year will be held in October for the Class of 2015 and planning is underway for our 2017 reunions, which will see us welcoming back the classes of 1977, 1987, 1997, 2007, 2012 and 2016. We offer our sincere thanks to The Peninsula School for their support with TOPSA initiatives, and we also thank both current and past staff that take time out of their own busy schedules to join us at the reunions, and other special events. Having the opportunity to continue reconnecting with their teachers from School is definitely a highlight of the reunions. We have been working to create a new TOPSA website and enhance our digital communication with our alumni. Improved digital resources will allow us to efficiently communicate with our past students. It is proposed that our communication will coincide with each issue of Pen in Profile - four times each year, unless there is an important Peninsula School or TOPSA community announcement. We can also connect with our alumni on social media via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and our TOPSA app for iOS and Android can be downloaded from the app store of your favourite device. TOPSA Hall of Fame The TOPSA Hall of Fame sub-committee recently held their first meeting to plan 2017. The nomination forms are currently being updated, and will soon be placed on our website. By recognising and celebrating the achievements of our alumni, we hope to support and inspire future generations to achieve their personal and professional dreams. Overseas and Queensland Reunion We remain keen to organise an overseas reunion program in conjunction with The Peninsula School, to provide opportunities for our international alumni and their families to reconnect. We are also pleased to be hosting a Queensland Branch reunion, most likely in Brisbane on 17 March, 2017 and will advertise details, when finalised. Our alumni living in Queensland will receive personal invitations. TOPSA Clubs The Peninsula Old Boys Cricket Club are now preparing for the summer season, including Milo In2Cricket to introduce young people to the game. The Peninsula Old Boys Football Club had an incredible season and made it to the Grand Final, but missed out on the Premiership points this year. The TOPSA Soccer Club, have had another hugely successful year both on and off the field. Our club reports follow. TOPSA Scholarships TOPSA annually awards the Stephen Longley Scholarship. We would like to enhance our scholarship offerings and would like to encourage our alumni to “give back” and provide further opportunities for current and future students via our website. We will work with the School to provide funding for specific projects. However, we are looking to increase our funding for scholarships to provide opportunities for students, who may for financial reasons, miss out on the chance to experience a Peninsula education. Please contact us, if you would like to make a difference by contributing to create TOPSA Scholarship opportunities. Annual General Meeting The TOPSA Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 17 November at 7.30pm in the H.A. Macdonald Pavilion at The Peninsula School (enter via Gate 2, off Wooralla Drive). An Agenda, nomination and proxy form can be found at www.topsa.com.au TOPSA’s motto “giving back” underpins the activities of the Association. We strive to give back to our members, along with The Peninsula School and community, to benefit current and future generations.  Ian Cockle (‘79) President, TOPSA TOPSA - our alumni We have been working to create a new TOPSA website and enhance our digital communication with our alumni
