Deputy Principal, Learning & Teaching

Peninsula Grammar seeks to appoint a Deputy Principal, Learning and Teaching to commence at the beginning of Term 3, 2019.

  • Design, develop and implement high quality Teaching and Learning initiatives across the whole school
  • Inspire and assist staff in the application of contemporary, evidenced based approaches to pedagogy that focus on the growth of every individual
  • Oversee the advancement of the School’s strategic initiatives as they relate to professional learning and staff development.

The Deputy Principal (LT) will have the vision, commitment and ability to lead the Peninsula Grammar community through the next exciting phase of the School’s development. The Deputy Principal (LT) will have a commitment to academic excellence, quality teaching and a willingness to embrace the School’s Positive Psychology program. VCE Offshore Director - China

Full time, ongoing

The VCE Offshore Director will have oversight of all components of our VCE China Program abroad and, when on campus, act as our Student Liaison Coordinator on all matters pertaining to the pastoral and academic support of our boarding students. Reporting to the Principal, this position requires a contemporary understanding of international education, strong cultural awareness and a willingness to travel regularly.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • exemplary communication and organisation skills;
  • a sound understanding of all facets of the Victorian Curriculum of Education;
  • proven experience in compliance and regulatory expectations as they relate to the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority and its Offshore programs;
  • strong interpersonal skills such as; flexibility, adaptability, dependability and empathy;
  • an intricate understanding of global citizenship and the needs of the 21st Century learner, in an international context;
  • proven leadership skills that advance our transnational program across China;
  • pastoral and wellbeing experience in an educational setting;
  • postgraduate qualifications;
  • knowledge of and experience in Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS).

VCE Product Design and Technology Teacher

Communications Coordinator

Full time, ongoing

This position forms a crucial part of our Marketing and Community Engagement Team responsible for our regular online and hard copy publications such as our weekly bulletins, bi-annual magazine and annual chronicle. It is also responsible for managing our online presence including our intranet, website content and social media platforms. This position requires a candidate that enjoys seeking and creating content, a ‘roving reporter’ for our school, whom is a skilled writer and has strong photography skills.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement, the key responsibilities for this role are to:

  • Manage the publication of the weekly bulletin including coordinating content and distribution;
  • Liaise with academic and non-academic staff to identify stories for promotion via online platforms, in the School’s bi-annual magazine and the annual publication - The Pen;
  • Present the School’s publications including drafting content, proofreading and editing, liaising with graphic designer for layout, approval and distribution;
  • Coordinate promotional photo shoots at least once per term to maintain current images of our school and students;
  • Develop, manage and maintain a creative social media plan which helps to meet strategic objectives;
  • Social media monitoring, 7 days per week, to maintain the brand and reputation of the School;
  • Source, write and publish content for our intranet site and website in a timely manner.

Marketing Coordinator

This position will co-ordinate the School’s internal and external marketing activities and contribute through the implementation of our community engagement strategy. With capability to coordinate and implement effective marketing strategies, this position seeks a candidate with experience in leveraging market, segmentation and customer insights and data, extensive digital marketing experience (including knowledge of growing digital audiences) and success in development of acquisition strategies and customer relationship management (CRM).
