VCE Product Design and Technology Teacher

Fixed term contract, 1.0 FTE

We are looking for a motivated, professional Product Design and Technology educator to join us in Term 1, 2019. The successful candidate will be an energiser, able to positively influence the work of colleagues and students.

The successful applicant will:

  • effectively build trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • be an exemplary and innovative classroom practitioner who takes a creative approach to teaching and demonstrates passion for the subject area
  • have experience in teaching VCE
  • design and deliver an engaging and broad curriculum
  • effectively manage OHS requirements
  • demonstrate enthusiasm working with technology and adapting to innovative practices
  • be a team-player who is willing to contribute to the growth and development of the Art Design and Technology Faculty
  • demonstrate a reflective approach to their own practice and a proactive interest in their professional growth as a teacher
  • this is an excellent opportunity to run a well-resourced workshop, including laser cutter and 3D printing
  • the ability to teach Art and/or Visual Communication and Design would be highly desirable.

This is a full-time position offered on fixed term basis from the commencement of Term 1 and concluding on Friday 6 December 2019.

Please note that all academic staff are required to contribute to our extensive pastoral care and co-curricular programs.

Learning Support Assistant - Department of Learning Support

Part-time, 3 days per week, fixed term (12 months)

The Learning Assistant will, through the Department of Learning Support, provide direct and timely specialist assistance to relevant students in the classroom. You may also be required to facilitate the delivery of specific Literacy and Numeracy programs. The role will work co-operatively under the direction of the Head of the Department of Learning Support to provide a supportive, well-organised learning environment in which students are encouraged to achieve to their fullest potential. The Learning Support Assistant may be required to work with students from Kinder through to Year 12 with a focus on particular year levels within that range.

The successful candidate will have;

  • Experience and Integration Aide or support qualifications
  • Exceptional ability to relate to children
  • Ability to work harmoniously with other team members
  • Genuine interest in learning
  • Genuine interest in children and families with special needs
  • Skilled in MS Office Applications
  • Honest, trustworthy and respectful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
