Year 9 Teacher – Science / Sports Science / PE

Fixed term LSL replacement to commence in Term 2, 2019

Peninsula Grammar seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Science/Sports Science/PE Teacher for Term 2, 2019. The successful applicant must have the capacity to build effective relationships with students, staff and parents to enhance student wellbeing and outcomes.

The successful applicant will:

  • be an exemplary and innovative classroom practitioner who adopts a collaborative approach to their teaching and demonstrates passion for their subject area
  • be experienced in curriculum design and development
  • have the ability to quickly build trusting relationships with students, parents and colleagues
  • use contemporary pedagogies in their classroom practice and be able to demonstrate the impact of these on student learning
  • demonstrate a reflective approach to their own practice and a proactive interest in their professional growth as a teacher.

In addition to the criteria outlined above, the successful applicant will:

  • have extensive experience in student wellbeing
  • be committed to our Year 9 Program.

Registrar

Full-time ongoing

We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced Registrar’s for this full-time, ongoing role. This position is an important community engagement role responsible for promoting all opportunities within the School (for local and international students), interacting with prospective parents and managing the enrolment process. This position reports directly to the Principal and the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement.

We are seeking candidates who, preferably, have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in education, marketing and/or community engagement including an understanding of the operations and enrolment processes for a Kinder to Year 12 school. The successful candidate will need strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and develop positive relationships with prospective parents and newly enrolled families. An ability to multi-task with excellent accuracy, organisation and planning skills is essential, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with discretion regarding confidential matters. Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential, and the ability to work autonomously with a high level of productivity will ensure success in this role.

A solid understanding of legislation and compliance as it relates to enrolment procedures in the education sector, together with strong data analysis skills including database management such as Excel and/or Synergetic would be highly regarded.
